BIO
Currently producing a series of documentaries and dramatic shorts for CBC Television, Carrie Haber has spent most of the last decade as a director and editor in both documentary and animation studios at the National Film Board of Canada. She is also a cinematographer and story consultant, having worked on over twenty NFB productions.

Previously, Carrie produced a 5-day, international media arts festival profiling women artists and developed programming in radio technology and journalism for Montreal’s under-privileged youth. She is founder of Marbelus Arts Foundation, a non-profit corporation established to disseminate projects about social issues in the artistic and cultural milieux. Marbelus' festival projects include the founding co-production of Pop Montreal and the MiMi Awards, and curating art exhibits for Osheaga Music and Arts Festival.

She has worked for the international aid agency, Action Contre la Faim (Action Against Hunger) as a Communications Consultant and video producer in Uganda. She co-produced her feature-length Human Rights' documentary, Pig Farm, after working in Prague as a user interface designer and project manager.

Carrie is also an award-winning fiction writer and her stories have been dramatized by CBC Radio, and anthologized in collections in Canada, the U.S. and the U.K.
